Flood Disaster Review
In recent years, many cities and regions in China have suffered from flood disasters, causing significant casualties and property losses. For example, on August 19, 2018, the Shouguang flood affected 5.2648 million people in Shandong Province, resulting in 26 deaths. The 2020 floods in the Yangtze River basin affected 54.81 million people and resulted in 158 deaths. The 2021 Zhengzhou flood affected 14.786 million people in 150 counties (cities, districts) in Henan Province, with 398 people dead or missing.
Since 2023, Ewaters has been collecting and organizing the latest official website and media reports on flood incidents daily, and has compiled a city flood incident map. We have classified and counted flood incidents that have occurred in recent years, analyzed the characteristics of flood disasters, and aimed to raise public awareness of flood disasters through professional visual displays.
According to statistics, in 2023, there were 105 urban flood incidents nationwide. As of May 20, 2024, there have been 55 urban flood disaster incidents in the country this year. For more information, please click the link in the image below for detailed browsing.
Instructions
Through the city flood incident map, you can:
1. Count the total number of urban flood incidents collected in 2023 and 2024, as well as the number and classification of flood incidents in each county and city.
